No problems whatsoever with previous major updates of OSX.To find out which version of Word you are using, on the Word menu, click About Word. The problem first appeared in Sierra when it started to take three to four minuted to save documents. If I save my documents with a Title and the text of the document they save in just a second of so, but if I add Tags, they fail to save, cause word to become unresponsive, and I have to force quite Word in the end. After about ten minutes, I had to force quit Word 2016, part of my Office 365 subscription. In the meantime it began to use about 40% of my 32 gigs of memory. Word became unresponsive andįailed to save the document. I have always had this problem since I installed High Sierra for my iMac. I created a new document just this evening, wrote it, added some tags to describe the content in more detail, and saved as a rich text file. Various discussion groups found in Google searches Have learned to be very patient and keep checking out I'm usually able to work out issues like this, but it can take months and months. I very much appreciate your advice and description of what you did.
I'll ask them to reload Office 365 too because they have a much, much faster I'll take it in to a local Apple Store next week to have them check it out another time and ask them to reload High Sierra for me too. I've also had it checked out at a local Apple StoreĪnd they can find no issues with it. I've had my 27 inch iMac checked out a computer repair shop I trust and is very highly rated too. Included below this paragraph is a note I wrote at the top of the crash report I submitted. I used the Mac Word 2016 insider version 16.13 as well (180424) I don't think the problem has been solved. I added several Tags to describe its content more specifically and it failed to save. I just tried to save a document too Rich. Theyīoth show no issues with how it is working. I have had my Mac diagnosed for any errors recently both at an Apple store and at a repair shop that is very highly rated in Minneapolis. Much and have depended on it a long time, but this is a very critical issue for me to be able to solve.

This means that If I try to pull up any of the 1,370 documents I have written in Word for my blog, almost all of them have 4-6 Tags (Descriptors or Subject Terms) describing the content more precisely than the title I give the documents, I cannot I can usually recover the document, but it is always stripped of Tags.
When I try to save my writing in Office 365 version 16.12 with Tags on my imac using High Sierra mac OS 10.13.4 Word Crashes (become unresponsive) and I have to force quit Word. I am using the most recent version of High Sierra in Mac Os ver 10.13.4 My iMac has 32 gigs of ram, a 3.5 GHZ i7 processor and a 1tb ssd. Winnie, I am still having the same problem in Word through a Office 365 License.
